São Paulo, Brazil: At the very end of May – almost fourteen months after engaging our manufacturer – production of our first line of flip flops began!
Those fourteen months were spent hard at work tweaking our design, working with the factory to source the synthetic materials and leathers to find exactly the right feel and look for both the Originals and Nomads, and reviewing many, many rounds of prototypes.
The folks you see in the attached pictures made every single pair by hand. In a mere ten days, what started as piles of perfectly distressed leather, EVA, foam, rubber and cotton became our inaugural 2,000 pairs of GoodSteps shoes!
