Today is our second birthday!
As we celebrate and reflect on how far we have come, we also want take a moment to appreciate what two years really means on the ground, in concrete numbers.
As you can see any time on our home page, to date we have been able to provide, via MANA, 6,449 days worth of nutrition (that is over 19,000 RUTF packets!) to malnourished children around the world. A severely malnourished child needs to eat 3 nutritional packets a day for up to 56 days, meaning together we have provided the funding to save 115 CHILDREN from severe acute malnutrition!
We have also provided, via Atlanta Community Food Bank, 51,694 meals to food insecure families, children and seniors throughout Georgia. Given that 1 in 4 children in Georgia are food insecure (meaning they do not know where their next meal is coming from), every single meal counts!
